Our DIY solar power kits are designed to make it easy and
affordable for you to fit a solar powered battery charging system to
your caravan, motorhome, RV and boat.
Our solar power kits enable you to charge your batteries directly
from the sun. The kits are designed with you in mind and are
very easy to install.
All you have to do is choose the type of solar panel (rigid frame or
semi-flexible) you want and determine the length of cable you need.
We'll do the rest.
Our solar RV kits can be used with all makes of motor homes and
motor caravans such as those shown below.
NOTE: we can produce kits to suit your exact requirements.
Solar Power System: (RV-20L5) or (RV-20L10) - 20 Watt
Keep your motor home or motor caravan battery fully charged and
ensure that you always have the battery power you need. Our
RV-100 kit will prevent your battery discharging particularly when
it has been used a lot during your trip. Our system
simply connects to your RV battery and charges them during the day.
Each kit comes complete with solar panel, regulator, cable and battery clamps
for easy connection onto your RV battery.
Choose the type of solar panel you want - Aluminium frame or
semi-flexible. Both types of frame can be easily attached to
your RV.
NOTE: Each system is fitted with a battery protection circuit to
prevent overcharging of batteries.
Solar Power System: (RV-40L5) or (RV-40L10)- 40 Watt

Installing your RV Solar Panel
All our solar panels are simple and
easy to install. Decide where you want to place your solar
panel, either on the roof of the RV or, when not on the move, close
to the battery. Once you've decided the best location, work
out how long the cable run will be between the solar panel and the
battery. Depending on the length of cable required just select
the correct length when ordering. You can order one of our
UniRac tilted
solar mounting frames for roof fixing.
NOTE: our cables are supplied with
pre-fitted battery clamps that connect directly onto your battery
and each solar panel is equipped with a blocking diode that will
prevent the battery discharging.
What size Solar Kit and Solar
Panel do I need?
To ensure that we supply you with the
correct solar panel and kit please do the following:

Determine the voltage of your
motor home or motor caravan battery. Batteries are
normally DC 12 volt but do check.

Determine how often your motor
home or motor caravan or RV is left stationary (without the
engine running) or access to an external power source.

If your motor home, motor caravan
or RV is used periodically, perhaps once or twice a week, or at
weekends then our RV-20 kit will suffice.

If your motor home, motor caravan
or RV is used more frequently and the battery is used to power
appliances then choose the RV-40.

Determine the length of cable you
require - ( distance between the solar panel and your battery).
