Solar Array Parks and Farms
Ground mounted solar PV systems on open land.

A solar farm (sun farm) consists of a number of fixed or moving (duel or single axis solar tracking arrays) installed in an open space with good peak sun irradiance.
Depending upon the size of the field or space available a large number of pole mounted solar arrays can be deployed. There is a big difference between fixed and moving solar arrays. Simply put, since duel axis solar arrays track both the altitude and azimuth of the sun there is no need to develop a best case / worst case solar output scenario to compare to a fixed (non-moving) system.
Anyone who is interested in increasing the yield and efficiency of solar PV systems must consider solar tracking systems.
Before our solar tracking systems are easy to install and er a wide range of single and duel axis solar trackers that are ideally suited to development and deployment of solar arrays in open spaces.
Solar farms are very popular in the USA and southern Spain, but that does not mean that they cannot also be deployed here in the UK.
Solar tracking systems should be fully automatic and should not require any user intervention or manual tracking support. Once installed they are ready to go.
Is planning permission required?
Yes, planning permission is required.
It is important to bear in mind that unlike wind farms, solar farms and parks can be deployed that will have little or no impact on local surroundings. The solar arrays will be low to the ground and the panels will be of a type and colour that will not make them reflective.
