Are you living off grid?
Do you need power at a remote site?
Take advantage of the abundant power of the
wind to generate your own free power using the Rutland FM1803
Furlmatic Windcharger.
The FM1803 needs only a light breeze to start
generating power for charging batteries so you have the
convenience of energy stored for whenever you need it.
Available in 12 volt or 24 volts. The battery power can be
used for:
•
Low energy lighting
•
Pumps •
Refrigerators •
Telecommunications
equipment
•
Computers & TV’s
•
230V appliances can be
operated through an inverter
It's new
aerodynamic proportions are designed to deliver maximum
efficiency from its 1.8m diameter 2-bladed turbine. The FM1803
has a a new aerodynamic styling and the latest generator
technology to deliver nearly 40% more power without increasing
the turbine size. In fact the weight has been reduced, but the
FM1803 is still as robust and "heavy duty" as its predecessor.
The Rutland FM910-3 combines the
established Furlmatic robust mechanical design with their latest
3 phase generator technology to deliver better performance and
greater reliability than ever before. Primarily designed for
land based applications, the Rutland FM910-3 has been used
worldwide to provide year round power generation.
Furling tail system reduces
speed in high winds.
Peaks up to 200W pre-furling.
Turbine diameter: 910mm
Weight: 15Kg
Packed Dimensions: 240 x 310 x
330mm
Packed Weight: 17Kg
An HRS913 or HRDX Controller is recommended for use with
the Rutland FM910-3 Furlmatic. For more information
on the HRDX controllers and voltage regulators click here..
Without doubt this latest
model accumulates more energy than any other comparable
wind generator available, you'll always see a Rutland
spinning in the lightest of breezes! It's perfect for
marine and land based applications.
Low wind speed start up of just 5
knots

This latest model follows the
success of its predecessor the Rutland 500 with a number of
enhancements including performance and styling.
"Safety turbine" is a single
injection moulding of 6 aerofoil blades protected by an outer
ring.
Trickle charges in wind speeds
as low as 5 Knots

Produces over 60w, nominally 5A
@ 12V in 50 Knots
Stainless steel fasteners and
marine grade materials
Turbine diameter of 500mm
Compact turning radius of just
225mm, great for when space is at a premium
Latest design improvements -
the Rutland 503 is more reliable and efficient than ever!
No radiated interference -
complies fully with BS EN5008-1 1992
Packed Dimensions: 550x550x260mm.
Packed Weight: 6 Kg.

Voltage Regulators and
HRDX Controllers
Choose
from two electronic regulators. Both models progressively slow
down the turbine when the batteries become full thus reducing
long term wear and tear to the turbine. Connect between the
windcharger, plus solar panels, where fitted, and the battery to
prevent overcharge. Voltage regulation is pulse width
modulation (PWM) type which slows the turbine down as the
batteries become fully charged. All models are diode protected
to allow charging from other sources to the same battery. Choose
between the single bank HRS range or the HRDX Controller for
twin battery banks. You can check out our Charge Controllers here
Note:
that voltage regulators should always be sited within 1.5m of
the battery to minimise voltage losses and ensure accuracy of
battery regulation.
HRS 503 & 913 Regulator
Single battery bank over Voltage
regulation with LED indicators for charging status and battery
voltage.
For use with Rutland 503 and FM913 and supports up to 100W of
solar panels. NOTE: A shunt diode (CA-11/01) must be installed to
protect the solar panel when the HRS regulator is being used to
connect both wind turbine and solar panel. The shunt diode
protects the solar panel from the current produced by the wind
turbine. Specifications:
Led indicators show battery and
charge status.
Flying lead connection
Dimensions: 150x75x34mm
Weight: 0.12Kg
HRS503 Regulator Price: (inc
vat) £41.95
HRS 913 Regulator (12V OR 24V)
Price: (inc vat) £61.95
HRDX Controller
Easy to use controller for
charging up to 2 separate battery
banks plus a solar panel input rated up to 100W.
LCD displays charge currents and battery voltage readings.
Shutdown switch.
Simple combination of any one of Rutland 503, 913 or FM910 plus
up to 100W of solar panels. NOTE: a separate shunt diode
is not required when using the HRDX controller.

CABLE & CONNECTORS
Cable thicknesses are determined
by the run of cable distance. For cable runs up o 20m/60ft 2.5mm
2
or13AWG cable is recommended to maximise electrical
efficiencies. Permanent battery connectors are recommended.
