HRDX, HRS Controllers & Regulators

Choose from two electronic regulators. Both models progressively slow down the rutland wind turbine when the batteries become full thus reducing long term wear and tear to the turbine. Connect between the windcharger, plus solar panels, where fitted, and the battery to prevent overcharge. Voltage regulation is pulse width modulation (PWM) type which slows the turbine down as the batteries become fully charged. All models are diode protected to allow charging from other sources to the same battery. Choose between the single bank HRS range or the HRDX Controller for twin battery banks.

Note: that voltage regulators should always be sited within 1.5m of the battery to minimise voltage losses and ensure accuracy of battery regulation.

HRS 504 & 913 Regulator

Single battery bank over Voltage regulation with LED indicators for charging status and battery voltage.

For use with Rutland 503/504 and FM913 and supports up to 100W of solar panels.

NOTE: A shunt diode (CA-11/01) must be installed to protect the solar panel when the HRS regulator is being used to connect both wind turbine and solar panel. The shunt diode protects the solar panel from the current produced by the wind turbine.

HRDX Controller

Easy to use controller for charging up to 2 separate battery banks plus a solar panel input rated up to 100W. LCD displays charge currents and battery voltage readings. Shutdown switch.

Simple combination of any one of Rutland 503, 913 or FM910 plus up to 100W of solar panels.

Rutland Land Tower Rigging Kit

New for touring RVm caravans and motor homes! The convenience of an easy and quick to assemble mounting pole for the Rutland 503 for temporary installation. It's very easy to put up and take down.

Land Tower Kit comprises: 2 x 2m sections of galvanised steel tube with joiner and ground fixing spike. To be installed with users own support system or with the Tower Rigging Kit. Overall height 4 metres.

Tower Rigging Kit
The kit consists of two sets of 3 guy wires ready fitted to the tower attachments for upper and lower sections, shackles and ground anchors. The guys are polypropylene covered galvanised steel and all steel parts are plated for weather protection.

Note: Ground anchors supplied are for temporary installation on firm ground, other ground types may require alternative anchors to suit.

Mounting pole for land based systems – the 910-3 can be installed on land using a 6m length of 48mm outside diameter tube with 41 mm internal diameter. The mounting pole can be fixed into the ground or on pivot type base. A minimum height of 6m and of 4 guy wires is recommended.

Rutland 910 & 913 Land Tower Rigging Kit

Tower Kit - 910 and 913 wind turbines. Tower is 6.4m in length and comprises of (3 x 2.13m sections) of 48mm diameter galvanised steel tube ready drilled for assembly complete with joiners. Suitable for use with both with the Rutland 913 or FM910-3 wind turbines (with adaptor).

BATTERIES

CABLE & CONNECTORS
Cable thicknesses are determined by the run of cable distance. For cable runs up o 20m/60ft 2.5mm2 or13AWG cable is recommended to maximise electrical efficiencies. Permanent battery connectors are recommended.
